Product-data guidance · Stripe

Reliable checkout still depends on reliable product facts.

A checkout build cannot resolve a price, stock, or product-code conflict that begins earlier in the catalog. Our free check covers public product facts; private checkout and order controls require a separate authorized review.

Public pages only. Our public check cannot confirm private settings, eligibility, activation, placement, approval, or sales.

Across your store and sales channelsWhat happens when your product details stop matching?

A different price can disrupt a purchase, incorrect stock can hide an available product, and a mismatched code or size can give shoppers the wrong information.

Confirm the store facts that sit in front of the payment flow.

Agent-driven checkout still depends on reliable products, prices, stock, seller context, and policies. Those public foundations should be checked before backend integration is quoted.

Product facts before checkout

Clear product identity, price, currency, stock, variants, images, and stable links reduce avoidable ambiguity before checkout begins.

Page information consistency

We compare visible product details with information built into the page and flag confirmed conflicts that should be fixed first.

Policies and merchant ownership

Shipping or delivery, returns, privacy, terms, support, and seller identity need to be specific before a direct-purchase path is credible.

Current Stripe pathway

Standard sellers and custom platforms do not share one access path.

Stripe documents Agentic Commerce Suite for standard sellers in the United States and Canada, while custom processor, Connect platform, and agent-side paths keep separate access boundaries.

01

Standard Stripe seller path

Current seller guidance covers Dashboard onboarding, catalog data, policies, tax, and enabling individual agent channels. The agent still needs to accept Stripe's approval request.

02

Custom and platform paths are gated

Off-Stripe custom processors and Connect platform or marketplace flows have separate U.S.-only waitlist and onboarding requirements.

03

Transaction validation is follow-on work

Checkout state, taxes, shipping, risk, signed webhooks, fulfillment, cancellations, refunds, and disputes require sandbox or staging review after pathway fit is clear.

Good fit

Use this guidance when

  • You use Stripe and want to know whether public store gaps should be fixed before integration work.
  • Your business is considering discovery-only or direct agent checkout and needs one clear next step.
  • You need to separate storefront, catalog, payment, and order-lifecycle scope before requesting a quote.
Important limit

What this Stripe scan cannot prove

Site Scanner cannot inspect Stripe Dashboard, confirm agent acceptance, test Checkout Sessions, taxes, shipping, risk, webhooks, fulfillment, refunds, or API access. It cannot guarantee activation, approval, transaction volume, or production deployment.
